Pneumatic cement delivery is the backbone of modern construction logistics. Unlike traditional bagged cement, bulk pneumatic transport uses pressurised air systems to move dry cement powder through sealed pipelines directly from the tanker into on-site storage silos.
Our fleet of specialised silo tanker trucks — also known as silobas vehicles — are engineered with high-capacity compressors that generate the air pressure needed to transfer cement at rates of up to 2 tonnes per minute. Each vehicle carries between 28 and 32 tonnes of bulk cement in a single load, significantly reducing the number of deliveries needed for large-scale projects.
The process begins at the cement works or terminal, where bulk cement is loaded into the tanker via gravity feed. The sealed compartment maintains the product in a dry, contamination-free environment throughout transit. Upon arrival at the delivery site, the driver connects the discharge hose to the customer's silo intake pipe and activates the on-board compressor.
This method offers several advantages over bagged delivery: reduced labour costs, faster unloading times, lower environmental impact from packaging waste, and better product integrity since the cement is never exposed to moisture during handling.
